“I can accept failure. But I cannot accept not trying.”
-Michael Jordan
Are you ready for a positive change in your life or marriage? Feeling isolated or overwhelmed with work or family responsibilities and have not found the tools to cope? Struggling due to a life transition, trauma, lack of confidence, or physical challenges such as chronic pain or disability? Seeking help is a brave step, and it can lead to a lifetime of fulfillment. I've faced a near death experience feeling hopeless and helpless. Later on in my growth into a new chapter of my life, I learned that “HOPE” stands for Hold On Pain Ends.
Let’s face it. Life is full of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual challenges; and together, we can overcome the obstacles you're facing. We'll work as a team to cultivate growth and develop solutions, empowering you or your relationship to take control of your life and achieve your goals. Therapy can lead to greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and a more fulfilling life.
I'm dedicated to helping individuals and couples reach their full potential and revitalizing the human spirit. Whether it’s marriage or relationship issues, trauma, adjusting to a disability, dealing with depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts, we'll find strategies that meet your needs through an integrated mind-body approach. Jimmy has a way of hearing what you say, and explaining it back to you in a positive light, a light to grow under. He has given me the gift of teaching me how I can go forward in life regardless of my physical presence. Jimmy has taught me ways of processing my triggers of deep distrust to any member of the medical field. Jimmy has encouraged and supported me throughout, and at times been the only person who I could honestly share with.
Some significant life changes led to fear, disrupting my day to day. Panic attacks waking me up in the middle of the night became a common occurrence. I was especially upset with how this began impacting my relationship with my wife and kids. Seeing Jimmy helped me work through what was happening in a safe environment. I am especially grateful for the practical tools I've been given. Tools I can use as a rhythm to my life, and tools I can use when I am triggered. It is life changing to be empowered in this way.
Are you struggling or adjusting to a disability? Are the feelings of isolation, helplessness, or hopelessness stifling any sense of purpose? Whether the person with a disability or a family member or friend a person with a disability, many challenges exist. The way you are feeling is normal. Remember, circumstances do not mean sentences!
Dog is truly man’s best friend. For many, canine therapy gives us the strength, courage, and support to help us process traumatic events, calm us down from anxiety, or even build us up to overcome our depression and anxiety.
The only constant in life is that everything changes. Loss of a job family member, marriage, financial stability, moving to a new school, city, or country are just a few examples where we may find difficulty in adjusting to this new chapter in our life. It is okay to feel that way, and together we will transform challenges into opportunities for resilience and strength.
